Managers of public and private banks discussed in The Rioja challenges in the sector.They spoke of cryptocurrencies, and digitizing world coins CBDC issued by Central Banks.
The Association of Public and Private Banks of the Republic of Argentina (ABAPPRA) along with the Bank Rioja, held the first Federal Congress“Banking: Development, Innovation and Competitiveness”in Chilecito, La Rioja.
The meeting was addressed to authorities of financial institutions to strengthen regional integration.In this framework agreements were signed on technological cooperation between the national banks and the provincial level to promote greater digitalization of the productive credit.
The governor of la rioja,Ricardo Quintela, said that"it is important that the core of ABAPPRA have gathered in our province, especially for the great task that has been developing the Bank Rioja, contributing to the development of the productive, industrial, commercial, but above all with a look and federal social" .
In the opening act, the president of ABAPPRA and the national Bank,Silvina Batakis, said: "This federal meeting demonstrates that the banks have to be vehicles for realizing dreams.So we are at the disposal of the production, with the multitude of tools that we have to leverage the funding to the interior of the country, so as to achieve greater competitiveness and genuine employment generation".
The assistant Secretary of Smes in the Nation,Thomas Gray, said: "we Work every day and put our efforts to support Smes to grow, because we know that it is impossible to think of an industrial policy without looking at the small and medium-sized companies that are the largest employment generated in our country .One of the central tools that we have to take forward this agenda of development of the productive strategies of financing of the sector."

The speakers spoke in reference to the main emerging technologies that are contributing to the evolution of the banking ecosystem. Valeria Cold, author of the book “Cryptomonedas” and a pioneer woman in crypto mining , together with Diego San Esteban from Latam Open Finances, led the panel “Digital transformation and the future of bank credit”, where they discussed processes that drive organizational growth and the potential of blockchain technology as a secure alternative for data management, payments and financial investments.
As this medium is learned, on November 11, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, will meet with the top figures in cryptocurrencies to analyze the possibility of launching a national cryptocurrency, with the Central Bank behind it.
